Error during installation / opening of application for both TerrSet and LCM for ArcGIS

In some cases during installation of TerrSet or LCM for ArcGIS Windows will return an error on loading drivers, for example "exception errors" or failing to register a driver or dll.

The following steps may help to resolve these errors associated with application drivers failing to register during installation and opening of the applications:

  1. Uninstall the software, TerrSet or LCM for ArcGIS.
  2. Make sure your Windows OS is up-to-date.
  3. Perform a registry clean with a registry utility of your choice.
  4. Temporarily disable any anti-virus software. You can enable the anti-virus software once the installation is complete. 
  5. Reinstall the software.
