I have been trying to run the Tasscap tool for landsat 7 (ETM+) and every time we encounter this error (screenshot below). I have used the convert tool with all the options within the tool but nothing works. I have even tried re-scaling the data from 0-1 using ArcMap and once I import it to TerrSet, the same error comes back. This is really frustrating and your assistance will be highly appreciated.

Clark Labs Is the original data in reflectance or raw DN? It needs to be reflectance values.

njoroge ikonye The original data is in raw DN. I have tried to convert it into reflectance using the convert tool but its not work. Please give me step by step on how to convert it into reflectance.

Clark Labs You will want to use the module AtmosC to convert raw DN to reflectances. The latest version of our Landsat module will do this automatically for you. See both modules. Make sure you are using the latest version of TerrSet 18.31.

njoroge ikonye The original dataset is the surface reflectance data. The valid value range is 0-10,000. The scaling factor is 0.0001. This converts the data to 0-1 surface reflectance. However, some bands of the Landsat ETM+ becomes saturated and have value ranges of 0-20,000. This is the case for the dataset that we are trying to run the tassel cap on. When we apply the scaling factor the value range is 0-2 but IDRISI returns the error message "value range must be 0-1" - as shown on the screenshot above. We applied a conditional statement forcing values greater than 1 to 1 thus producing a dataset which is 0-1 reflectance. However, when we input this dataset to the tassel cap function it returns the same error message. This is our main problem.
