Another Example: NLCD has the whole United states data of 2006 and 2001 land cover.If i want to get the North carolina data, i have to cut and save from USA to NC.
Is there any tool available in IDRISI to do that?

There are several ways you can select only a smaller portion of your already imported image data to use for analysis. Some specific modules are as follows:
WINDOW extracts a sub-image from an original image to a new image, or sub-image windows from a whole set of images. It may be used to isolate a study area, or to break large images into smaller parts for processing.
RESAMPLE extracts a rectangular region that is not oriented in the same direction as the grid of the original image.
QUERY extracts an irregular polygon by extracting cell values from an IDRISI image file corresponding to non-zero cells in a mask image, sending them to an output file.
The ZOOM WINDOW tool allows you to interactively select a window in the display. To save this window as a new image (or in several other formats) use the Save Composition function in Composer.
