I work for Winrock, we are currently testing the LCM on a REDD project we are doing using the AD Partners REDD Methodology VM0007. There are a number of questions and issues that I will try to put together and address with you over the next few weeks. In the mean time I thought I might try this forum to see if I could get some answers to some initial questions.
1) the biggest problem I am having is I need to enter my own deforestation rate. Is there any way to project deforestation at a user specified rate (e.g. in GEOMOD the user enters the end time # of pixels)? The current REDD Methodology allows the project developer to develop a reference region that is a separate area from the project area and leakage belt, from which the rate of deforestation is obtained. This is actually necessary for many REDD projects. Any ideas?
2) Are there any documents that you could provide me with that include details on how each tool of the model is working.
