I am a new user of Idrisi, I have data in excel and want to have the data saved as vct, can someone tell me how I can get this daone or if I copy in notepad how would I proceed to paste in Idrisi, where is the Idrisi editor? I didnt want to go through ArcGis but thought it will be easy to copy data from note pad to the IDRISI environement. Please help

If you just want to import point data XYZIDRIS will do this for you. If you want to edit this point data or develop it into lines or polygons I recommend downloading CartaLinx from our website. Additionally if you desire to you can import the data in raster format using the SSTIDRIS module.

I have the same Issue. I tried to use the tool xyzidris but i can't pass my information to idrisi.
First of all, I need to do a KNN analysis. In order to do that, i have to first create a signature group. So I used the MAKESIG tool, nevertheless all parameters values have to be in integer. I multiple my variables by 100 or 10 depends of the lengh of the value. Then when I tried to pass the VCT to the tool an error message emerged sayed that "the maximun id values cannot execed 255".
How i can save my database from excel to idrisi? which is the correct format to do that
How can i solve the error message that appears in the MAKESIG tool?
, and how i can fixed the error message from de MAKESIG tool?
