Can I classify images digitizing points?

Hi,

I'm trying to use IDRISI to supervised classification. Is it possible using supervised classification with poins instead of polygons?

  Hi Vera,

  This is possible, although the points will need to be converted to pixels before using MAKESIG, this can be done with the RASTERVECTOR module. MAKESIG requires that each class have n*10 sampled pixels, n being the number of bands used. Selecting individual pixels may be more time consuming than wrapping groups of suitable pixels in a polygon.
