I'm using Idrisi selva for converting a soil map (vector polygon file) in a raster but a problem always occurs and Idrisi states that " Vector and Raster window do not overlap" and the final raster image has only a value of zero (as initial image I've copied the spatial parameters from the dtm and as operation type I've chosen "change cells to record the identifiers of polygons"). Could you help me? Thanks!
I have been having the same problem. Does not work either for me. I think it is some sort of bug.
The most likely issue here is that the vector and raster window do not overlap, resulting in a blank image. If you open the metadata for each, vector file you are rasterizing, and raster file you rasterizing into, the vector coordinates must be contained within the raster coordinate system. Otherwise, it will run rasterize but not place any features in the raster space. Use Idrisi Explorer to view the and confirm the metadata.
