I realized that I had the vector window slightly outside the raster space. Fixed that and the conversion seems to be working...
Which brings me to another question. My vector data is point data imported into IDRISI from a csv file. It displays okay when I look at it before the conversion. However, once I do the conversion to raster format, a grid of black lines appears across the raster (see blank_Sample - updated.rst in attached google drive folder - http://goo.gl/g3XkdH). I think this is something to do with how I created the blank raster but I'm not sure. How do I do the conversion such that the lines don't show up?
Additional info - The blank sample was created from the sample EVI raster (which was in turn obtained by contracting a 250m MODIS raster image by a value of 40 in both x and y and then projecting it to LatLong). The sample vector file was obtained by importing in point data from a csv file.
