I am trying to use the MaxLike Classification available in IDRISI, but every time I enter my signature files and hit run, it comes up with either the error "()notfound". I have rerun making the sig files multiple times and have reorganized the data a myriad of ways...but I cannot get past this. The sig files work fine when running Sigcomp or Scatter. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks!

Make sure all your data resides somewhere in your project, either in a resource folder or your working folder. To be safe, try placing all your bands and signature files in the same folder.
Also, it could be that you have a signature name in your signature group file that does not exist. In this case try creating another group file or edit your existing one in Metadata.
