I´m developing a model for Land use change with LCM, and I want to use the macro option for variables defined as dynamics, but I think that I´m doing a mistake, because it´s not working! You can show me or send me an example of a correct .iml file?
I want to update drivers that I build in another program (ArcGIS), just use density 2000 instead of density 1990, for example, in the stages.

Here is an example of using the module PATTERN to calculate Class Frequency as a driver.
Assume you have a land cover map that has the class Disturbance as category 8. You then have run PATTERN on that class to give you a driver of this class frequency that needs to be updated and recalculated at each stage. This is the dynamic variable name. The name of this driver you created is called: DENSITY. Also, assume the session name is RUN1 and the sub-model name is DISTURB.
Then the macro created for PATTERN would be named: '
RUN1_DISTURB _DENSITY.IML
The macro itself would contain the line:
pattern x 9 * %3 * %2 * 8 * 3
(Note: remove the spaces between the asterisks above example.)
%3 refers to the land cover map to be updated. %2 refers to the recalculated driver variable to be updated. To successfully run this, you will want to specify Recalculation Stages greater than 1 on the Change Allocation panel under the Change Prediction tab.
