Hi,
I am trying to execute LCM and during the stage of creating transition potential maps using MLP I get the error "is not a valid integer value. All the input images have same columns, rows, resolution, etc. But still the problem prevails. All the images have associated legends as well.
Does anyone has any idea about the probable cause of the error and how can it be solved?
Hi Ila,
After looking at your data, and running it in TerrSet, it ran without any errors. I only modeled the transition from Dense Forest to Crop.
However, looking at the Metadata for each of your input files, Roads and Slopes, the Unit Distance and the Min and Max X and Y values have a decimal without any zeros afterwards. Specifically, for the road image which is of byte datatype, it should not have any decimals for the min and max values.
Because it ran for me in TerrSet,this may have been fixed since Taiga. Try recalculating all the min and max values in Metadata and make sure your Unit Distance is set to 1.0. Then it should work. Your data, otherwise, looks fine.

We have a couple more questions to help narrow down the issue.
1.Does the tutorial data for LCM run without the same error message?
2. What are your international settings on Windows? If they are not in American English, could you change them temporaily to see if this helps?
3. What language and version of Windows are you running? For example, are you running Windows 7 or 8?
4. Which of the following IDRISI programs are you running? TerrSet, IDRISI Selva or IDRISI Taiga?

1. yes LCM ran just fine with the tutorial data.
2. Windows setting are in english
3. I am using Windows 7
4. I am working with IDRISI Taiga.
I am trying to model almost all the transitions for future. Can the error be because of that? Is it possible for you to just check that part once?

That would not be it. Also, be careful modeling so many transitions. That would imply that your one set of drivers explains dozens of transitions, even minor ones with only a few pixels. Best to review your model and select the transitions that are of importance.

Hi, Pl check your metadata on the left panel. The values in metadata might have a decimal. Kindly make them integers.
